About the retreat
In 2023, Leah and Staci were chatting about the lack of songwriting workshops and retreats in North Texas. After attending many other songwriting workshops and retreats, the idea for Iron Bridge blossomed. Iron Bridge creates the opportunity for songwriters of all levels to learn and grow in an intimate and inclusive environment and provides up close and personal time with the professional guest artists.
Leah Dawn
Leah Dawn is a Houston, TX based singer, songwriter, and storyteller. She has spent the last decade developing her craft while finishing up her engineering career and raising two daughters. She is a storyteller that draws from her own life experiences as well as that of others to capture the emotion, joys, and struggles of everyday life. Leah is the cofounder of the Iron Bridge Songwriting Retreat and believes that music is the universal love language. Staci Wedding
Staci Wedding is a native Texan singer songwriter living at Lake Tawakoni. Raised an Army brat, she loves to travel and surrounds herself with music and musical people. An avid writer of poetry, she wrote her first song circa 2004. Life & career got in the way and she didn’t get back to it until 2021, picking up piano and most recently, guitar. Staci loves lyrics and storytelling; influenced heavily by her familial musical roots. She is co-founder of the Iron Bridge Songwriting Retreat and revels in the power of a song.
